The Community Arts and Cultures degree program prepares students for a variety of careers in the arts and related humanities fields through its focus on thinking critically about visual culture, working with community partners in creative problem solving, participating in a collaborative enterprise, and developing practical skills and methods for communicating aesthetic and cultural values in real-world contexts. Our engaged and active faculty makes it easy for you to turn your interests and passions in the creative arts, theater, music, history, or cultural media into a program of study that works for you!

Curriculum and Courses
Courses within the Community Arts and Cultures degree program encompass a range of creative arts and humanities classes delivered by highly accomplished faculty. Students also acquire experience and expertise through hands-on learning opportunities, including internships and study abroad options.

Career Options
Skills students acquire throughout the program allow graduates to be prepared for a variety of careers, including artists (crafts, fine art, musician, dancer, choreographer, actor), creative directors and producers, industrial and fashion designers, fundraising manager, and arts-related small business and nonprofit operation, in addition to other arts-related careers. You may also continue your education at the graduate level.
