The Community Arts degree program provides broad exposure to the arts, a specialization in at least one area of creativity, and a focus on community engagement. Students will develop skills vital to creating, organizing, implementing, and funding arts projects for individuals, community groups, and other organizations.

Curriculum and Courses
Community Arts combines creative courses with courses in English, Communication, and Commerce. Students gain real-world experience by conducting and applying research in class projects and internships at local arts organizations, nonprofit organizations, and community agencies.

Career Options
Graduates are qualified for careers in a variety of fields including artist (i.e., crafts, fine arts, performer, choreographer), creative director/producer designer (i.e., floral, fashion, industrial, interior set), fundraising manager, arts-related small business owner, outreach specialist, arts instructor, museum technician/conservator, and art sales/entrepreneurship. Many also continue their education at the graduate level.
