Prepare for Health-Related Professional Programs
Multidisciplinary, evidence-based coursework and hands-on research emphasize focus on exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, health promotion, and nutrition for health and performance. Students enrolled in this program will develop the skills, maturity, and competency necessary for success in a variety of health-related professions.

The Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health (KNH) offers two combined bachelors-masters programs that allow highly qualified students to simultaneously pursue both a bachelor’s and master’s degree: Combined Program in Public Health Education and Health Promotion | Combined Program in Exercise and Health Science
Curriculum and Courses
Students in both tracks (Exercise and Health Science; and Public Health Education and Health Promotion) will take a statistics and a research foundations course. Then, depending on the track chosen, students will complete a series of track-specific courses that they and their advisor choose based on their desired career pursuit.

Completion of the MS in Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health prepares our graduates for a wide variety of health-related professional programs and career options, including medicine, nutrition, health promotion, physical/occupational therapy, nursing, chiropractic, clinical exercise physiology, biomedical research, and doctoral programs in Kinesiology and related fields.

Admissions Requirements
- Documentation (official or unofficial transcript) of completion (or likely completion) of a bachelor’s degree by the start date indicated on the student’s application.
- Minimum GPA: 2.75
- Supplementary materials including a personal statement, a resume/CV, and three letters of recommendation (at least two from academic sources).

Accredited, combined MS/Dietetics internship
Provides evidenced-based learning experiences in dietetics to prepare graduates for practice as entry-level dietitian nutritionists in a variety of healthcare & community environments. Research Opportunity
Students enrolled in our graduate program are required to complete a thesis or research-based non-thesis exit option. In both cases, students will work closely with our graduate faculty that conduct research in a variety of health-related areas.

Internship/Field Placement
For the MS/Dietetics internship, the combined program is a 16-month program requiring students to complete all required coursework for the Master of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health, Exercise Science and Health concentration in conjunction with a 1280 hour supervised practice experience.
