This minor provides fundamentals of mechanical engineering, including a variety of industrial applications involving product design, experimental analysis, and engineering modeling techniques. It combines a strong base in engineering science with project-based laboratory and design experience. (18 semester hours)

Eligibility

A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. A minimum of 18 semester hours beyond any prerequisites are required, and courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser. This minor is not available to students majoring in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
