The Psychological Science, B.A., major explores how and why people think, feel, and behave the way they do by using real-world research and evidence. Graduates are prepared for specialized careers in the areas of child development, human resources, market research analysis, project evaluation, and department management, as well as counseling, mental health, and substance abuse services.
Curriculum and Courses
Courses are offered in developmental, behavioral, social/cultural, abnormal, and cognitive psychology, as well as research methods and statistics. Students have the opportunity to conduct independent and small-group research with faculty, and experiential and service-learning opportunity are available.
