Highly-Ranked, Student-Focused Programs
The accountancy minor offers students from various disciplines a foundation in accounting principles and practices. It is designed to broaden career opportunities by equipping students with essential accounting skills and knowledge, enhancing their understanding of an organization’s financial performance and internal controls, and strengthening their analytical and critical thinking abilities for data-driven decision-making. This program also serves as an entry pathway to the Masters of Accountancy program for nonaccounting majors. (18 semester hours)
ELIGIBILITY
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (credit/no-credit unavailable). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the department. This minor is open to all university students, and we welcome all inquiries about the minor.
