The Accountancy minor is designed to equip you with essential accounting skills and knowledge, enhance your understanding of an organization’s financial performance and internal controls, and strengthen your analytical and critical thinking abilities for data-driven decision-making.
This program offers those from various disciplines a foundation in accounting principles and practices, and it also serves as an entry pathway to the Master of Accountancy program for nonaccounting majors. (18 semester hours)
Eligibility
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (credit/no-credit unavailable). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the department. This minor is open to all university students, and we welcome all inquiries about the minor.
