The Clinical Engineering Minor provides the knowledge, skills, and lab experience needed for a clinical engineer working in a medical device company or hospital/clinical setting. Students are introduced to hospital instrumentation, facilities, project management, and regulatory affairs for device approval.
The minor provides students with a foundation in necessary skills and topics that are in demand by biomedical device companies, including startups and hospitals around the country. (20 semester hours)
Eligibility
Students majoring in biomedical engineering can count no more than 8 hours from their major towards this minor. Students may not receive both the clinical engineering and regulatory affairs minors.
