A Supportive Literary Climate
We are accepting Fall 2026 applications for our Ph.D. programs. We plan to resume M.A. and MFA admissions in Fall 2027.
The Creative Writing, M.F.A., is a small, intensive, and supportive program that merges a playful approach to contemporary experimentation with an ambitious exploration of literary traditions.
Miami’s workshop-based program draws students from across the country and beyond to classes in creative nonfiction, poetry, fiction, and hybrid writing.
