The minor in cybersecurity empowers students with the technical foundation and specialized security knowledge needed to protect our digital world. It starts with a broad perspective on cybersecurity threats and concepts followed by developing the engineering skills needed to understand and implement cybersecurity solutions. The minor includes courses in computer security, data security, and network security. Regardless of your major, adding cybersecurity expertise to your skillset can open doors to new career opportunities. This minor is not available to Cybersecurity majors. (21 semester hours)
ELIGIBILITY
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the chief departmental adviser. This minor is not available to majors in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
