The Embedded Microcontrollers Microcredential equips learners with the knowledge and expertise to design and implement effective microcontroller (MCU) architecture. Students will explore the primary and supporting elements comprising embedded microcontrollers, including processing, interfacing, and memory technologies. Students will be able to code in MCU programming languages (C and Assembly) to control and troubleshoot microcontroller behaviors commonly utilized in the fields of automotives, personal electronics, and manufacturing.
This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Embedded Microcontrollers Pathway must be successfully completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following courses:
- CSE 163 – Introduction to Computer Concepts and Programming (3)
- ENT 192 – Circuit Analysis I (3)
- ENT 293 – Digital Systems (3)
- ENT 295 – Microprocessor Technology I (3)
These courses are hybrid synchronous with some required on-campus meetings, virtual meetings, and online coursework.
