The Essentials of Event Planning Microcredential prepares individuals with the skills necessary to successfully create and manage events through key factors in customer service, food service cost control management, and the modern event planning process. This program also provides an understanding of basic event planning and financial and accounting terminology to plan an event budget.
Transferable skills include critical thinking, communication, complex problem-solving, and time management.
This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Essentials of Event Planning Pathway must be successfully completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following courses:
- CMR 261 – Customer Service and Satisfaction (3)
- CMR 351 – Controlling Food and Beverage Labor Costs (3)
- CMR 352 – Food Service Management (3)
- CMR 451 – Special Events Planning & Management (3)
These courses are online asynchronous; there are no requirements to come to campus.
