The Foundations in Hotel and Food Service Management Microcredential equips learners with the foundational skills needed to excel in both hotel and food service operations. Participants will gain knowledge in essential industry practices involving guest services, hotel operations, food service planning, and managing operational efficiency. Learners will navigate the various aspects of hospitality, from designing a menu, to creating compelling marketing campaigns for special events, and developing a business plan for their unique hotel.
Transferable skills include customer service, problem-solving, organizational management, and leadership in hospitality settings.
This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Foundations in Hotel and Food Service Management Pathway must be successfully completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following courses:
- CMR 151 – Intro to Hospitality Management
- CMR 290C – Hotel Management and Operations
- CMR 352 – Food Service Management
These courses are online asynchronous; there are no requirements to come to campus.
