The Human Development and Disability Microcredential examines physical, cognitive, social, and personality development across the lifespan, followed with an applied focus on developmental considerations unique to autism. You will investigate how environmental, cultural, and biological factors may impact different areas of development; discover and analyze contemporary scientific research within the areas of developmental psychology and autism; and explore unique perspectives of individuals within the autism community. In earning this Microcredential, you will deepen your understanding of the intersecting elements which shape human development and diversity of the human experience.
This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Human Development and Disability Pathway must be successfully completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following courses:
- PSY 111 Introduction to Psychology (3)
- PSY 231 Developmental Psychology (3)
- PSS 218 Introduction to Research Design and Analysis (4)
- PSS 420A Autism (4)
These courses are available in Online Asynchronous format. There is no need to come to campus.
