Foster Inclusive Education
Study critical issues in educating ALL students. You’ll learn to promote full inclusivity through principles of Universal Design for Learning, Presumption of Competence, Person-Centered Planning, and Self-Advocacy. Design effective teaching and learning strategies and cultivate a learning environment that promotes cooperation and socialization.
Curriculum and Courses
As a dual licensure student at Miami, you will take courses in inclusive teaching methods and supporting all learners holistically. Miami’s special education program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Education with Ohio dual licensure in primary and special education. Some of the courses you will take in this major include:

- EDP 256 Psychology of the Exceptional Learner
