The Introduction to Human Development Microcredential provides a foundational understanding of the biological, cognitive, and psychosocial factors that influence human development across the lifespan. Throughout the program, you’ll delve into the biological underpinnings of development, including the intricate workings of the nervous system, structures of the brain, and how our brain’s chemistry impacts behavior. You’ll also explore challenges to common myths and misconceptions surrounding developmental psychology, empowering you to apply evidence-based developmental principles to real-world situations and critically evaluate research in the field.
This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Introduction to Human Development Pathway must be successfully completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following courses:
- PSY 111 – Introduction to Psychology (3)
- PSY 231 – Developmental Psychology (3)
These courses are available in Online Asynchronous format. There is no need to come to campus.
