Expanding Your Career Options
Explore questions related to human development and learning in various contexts and across the lifespan. Our program offers you a customizable study plan that provides academic depth in key content areas of human development and family studies, learning sciences, research methods, data analysis, and psychometrics.
Curriculum and Courses
Students complete 18 credit hours of core courses and then complete 12 credit hours in a concentration based on their interests. The concentrations are 1) Learning sciences, 2) Human Development and Family Studies and 3) Research Methods, Data Analysis, and Psychometrics. Our curriculum is flexible and customizable, meaning that students can select concentration courses that align with their interests.

- EDP 651: Educational Research
The EDP grad program was the most immersive learning experience I have ever had. I was challenged and exposed to many theories and ideas of thinking. I was able to apply my learning in helpful ways to real life phenomenons in the fields of psychology and education and I was able to see the impact of what I was learning and why it mattered. The faculty in the EDP department helped create this immersive learning environment even in the midst of the beginning of the pandemic. I always felt supported and always felt that my academic achievement and learning was what was valued most by the faculty. My academic and professional careers benefited greatly from the EDP program.

Admissions Requirements
To apply for the Master of Education, Educational Psychology degree program, go to the graduate school application portal. Complete the application, then upload the required program materials listed here. Once you are admitted, you will be required to mail an official transcript to the graduate school.

Research Opportunity
Students work with a faculty mentor to design and conduct an academic research study. Students then prepare a report and orally present the study, the findings, and the conclusions to a committee of faculty members.
