Understanding Diverse Learners
Pursue the Special Education Minor (Without Licensure) and gain knowledge through courses in behavior management, career and lifespan education, assessment, and overview of exceptionalities.
Practicum and student teaching experiences are not required (non-licensure minor).
Open to all university students except Special Education majors (18 semester hours).
ELIGIBILITY
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the departmental advisor.
This minor can usually be completed within a four-year program. Applications for this minor are accepted in the EDP office in 201 McGuffey Hall, each year until enrollment limits are reached. Online classes during winter and summer terms may be required.
