A recent study cited supply chain management (SCM) as one of the three most important management practices for determining world class performance. This minor provides an understanding of SCM as a key business strategy. It develops tools for integrating key functions of procurement, operations, marketing, logistics, and information systems, leading to successful operation of the entire SCM process. You will be exposed to career opportunities in this field. (21-22 semester hours)
ELIGIBILITY
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should contact the department below as soon as possible. This minor is open to all university students. Admission to most Farmer School of Business minors is limited and the respective departments are responsible for managing their enrollments. Students may enroll in a maximum of two Farmer School of Business minors. Students may enroll in only one Management Department minor (Human Capital Management and Leadership, Management, or Supply Chain Management).
Some minors are available to students on a first-come, first-served basis while others have entry restrictions or requirements. Therefore, to increase the likelihood of gaining entry into a FSB minor, interested students should contact the department offering the minor as early as possible in their academic careers. Completion of a FSB minor may require taking coursework during summer and winter terms and/or online.
