Open to all majors, this multidisciplinary minor provides an understanding of aging as it affects the individual and our society. As the number and percentage of older persons in our society have grown, this is an area of increasing focus. Miami's gerontology program is particularly strong because of its association with the nationally known Scripps Gerontology Center. Students select from one of three specialized tracks: applied research, aspiring health professions, or policies and programs. (21-22 semester hours)
