The Beginner Python Programming Microcredential provides you with the fundamentals of computer programming using the world’s most popular programming language, Python. Through hands-on projects, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of universal programming concepts, Python language syntax and semantics, and debugging techniques, equipping you to write efficient and reliable code. Throughout the program, you will work individually and with your peers to design several user-friendly computer applications, which are based in real-world contexts and can be included in your professional portfolio. No previous computer or coding experience is necessary to take this Microcredential.
Transferrable skills include complex problem-solving, innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration.
This is a foundational Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Beginner Python Programming Pathway must be completed with a C- or higher, which includes the following course:
- CIT 163 – Introduction to Computer Programming (3)
This course is online asynchronous; there are no requirements to come to campus.
