Integrate Engineering and Public Needs
You’ll learn to analyze, design, and synthesize products and processes in a variety of areas, such as chemical and petrochemical processes, pharmaceuticals, environmental processes, biotechnology/bioengineering, and pulp and paper processes. You’ll learn the skills to lead interdisciplinary teams and provide practical solutions.
Curriculum and Courses
Students take foundational courses in chemistry, mathematics, physics, and engineering sciences; complete a technical concentration in Biochemical Engineering, General Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Paper Science with more advanced courses in those areas; and conclude their studies with a year-long capstone design experience. The technical courses are complemented by completing the Miami Plan for Liberal Education.
