Transform Your Teaching Journey
The Certificate in College Teaching is designed to equip graduate students with the pedagogical skills necessary to become effective teacher-scholars. Through mentorship and coursework, students develop expertise in their discipline, interdisciplinary teaching, and educational theory.
Curriculum and Courses
The Certificate in College Teaching consists of a variety of coursework and experiences guided by a student’s mentor. Students will select a mentor and develop a plan of study that addresses three major components: discipline-specific teaching experience/study, interdisciplinary pedagogy, and theory.

Admissions Requirements
Admission to our graduate certificate in College Teaching is offered to both current Miami University graduate students interested in adding the credential to their degree programs, as well as graduate students enrolled at other universities who wish to concurrently pursue our certificate and their home institution’s degree.
