Supporting Students Through Counseling and Crisis Management
The Counseling and Crisis Management in Higher Education Graduate Certificate is one of three stackable graduate certificates that can either be completed on its own or as part of the Student Affairs and Higher Education M.S. program. Given the rapidly changing and complex contexts that shape the experiences of college students, this contemporary curriculum will benefit current and future student affairs and higher education administrators and practitioners.
Curriculum and Courses
The three courses that comprise the Counseling and Crisis Management certificate provide students with knowledge critical for Student Affairs and Higher Education practitioners and administrators, including foundational knowledge about counseling and helping skills; crisis management and trauma-informed leadership; and the relationships among college student identity, mental health, and student success. The program does not lead to counseling licensure.
