Designed specifically for professionals working in healthcare settings, the Health Professions Education master’s degree prepares clinicians, educators, and healthcare practitioners to excel in educational roles within clinical environments. Curriculum and Courses
The Health Professions, M.Ed. program refines skills in the areas of adult learning; curriculum design and instruction; learner assessment; program evaluation; and educational scholarship. Instruction will be provided by both Miami University and Cleveland Clinic faculty. Students will enroll part-time, taking two courses each fall and spring semester, and taking one portfolio seminar course each summer. The final portfolio seminar course, EDP 623, is a culminating experience.

Admission Criteria
This program is ideal for healthcare professionals currently serving in educational roles with responsibilities related to teaching learners at all stages of their healthcare careers. While the primary audience includes employees of Cleveland Clinic—across all campuses and settings—and professionals from partner institutions, the program is open to all qualified applicants in the health professions who meet the admission criteria.
This program admits students on a bi-annual basis. The next admission period is for fall 2026.

- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 from most recent degree
