Design and Make Real-World Products in Mechanical Engineering Technology
The Mechanical Engineering Technology associate degree prepares you for immediate entry into technical careers in manufacturing and mechanical systems. You’ll gain hands-on experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD), computer numerical control programming (CNC), materials, and production processes while learning how products are designed and made.
This program also provides a direct pathway into Miami University’s Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, helping you continue your education and advance into roles focused on improving production and manufacturing systems.
What You’ll Learn to Do in Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems
Learn how products are designed, tested, and produced using modern manufacturing tools and processes. You’ll work with industry-relevant equipment and software while developing the technical skills needed to support engineering teams and production environments.
