Investigate the Modern Middle East
The Middle East, Jewish, and Islamic Studies Minor at Miami University offers students an engaging, interdisciplinary introduction to the cultures, religions, history, and politics of the Middle East and the Islamic world. With a strong emphasis on the modern Middle East, the minor encourages critical thinking, global awareness, and cross-cultural understanding through courses in the humanities and social sciences. Ideal for students interested in global studies, religion, international relations, history, or cultural analysis.
The minor requires 18 semester hours.
Eligibility
A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit).
Students planning to take this minor should consult with the lead departmental advisor.
