Enhance Your Skills in Electronics or Computational Physics
The Physics minor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio provides a strong foundation in classical and modern physics while allowing students to build practical skills in electronics or computational physics. Consisting of 18–19 credit hours, this physics program complements a wide range of majors and helps you develop analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills valued in fields such as engineering, data science, education, healthcare, and research.
Eligibility
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade rather than on a credit/no-credit basis. Students planning to take this minor should consult with the lead departmental advisor. This minor is not available to majors in physics.
Courses and Curriculum
The Physics minor provides students with a foundation in classical and modern physics while offering opportunities to develop applied skills in electronics or computational physics through focused coursework.
Students will complete a 15 hour Physics core sequence and one elective course.
