Succeed in Coaching Interscholastic, Collegiate, or Professional Sport
The Sport Coaching major leads to a Bachelor of Science in Sport Leadership and Management. Graduates may seek careers with national governing bodies of Olympic sport or coaching education specialists in national or state organizations/associations. Students majoring in sport coaching may not also major in sport management or minor in coaching.

This major prepares students to succeed in coaching interscholastic, collegiate, or professional sport.

Additional Opportunities
Additional opportunities for SLAM students are available in and out of the classroom. All SLAM majors are encouraged to be involved with the Sport Leadership and Management student club or the Women in Sport Leadership student organization.
The Sport Analytics Summer Academy (SASA)
A four-week, on-campus summer program designed to engage students with an understanding of how sport organizations analyze, interpret, and communicate data efficiently and effectively in sport while earning 9 credit hours towards a Certificate in Sports Analytics.
Study Abroad in Sport
SLAM offers several sport-specific study abroad programs including winter term in New Zealand, spring break in Europe, or a spring semester on the Luxembourg campus. Our curriculum provides a global perspective of sport to encourage SLAM students to be culturally competent global citizens.
I owe my experience at Miami University everything in terms of my career as an NFL Strength Coach. The knowledge I gleaned from coursework in the fields of exercise science, sport psychology, coaching, and sports medicine serve me to this day.
