Make Your Mark on the World
The Environmental Biology concentration of Applied Biology focuses on courses in biology, chemistry, geology, math, to name a few that better prepare you for careers related to sustaining the environment and wildlife protection. Select from a “Tools” requirement from Geographic Information Science certificate, Commerce, Data Intelligence, or Forensic Investigation minor making you more employable.
Curriculum and Courses
Students earn a 10-hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration certification (or equivalent) in their sophomore year and a 40-hour OSHA-Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response certification in the senior seminar course.

- BIO 311 Vertebrate Zoology
- BIO 314 Plant Diversity
Students majoring in Applied Biology may not major in Biology or Zoology.
Students will take classes in-person at Hamilton and Middletown.
