Completing the Advanced Python Programming Microcredential prepares you to integrate sophisticated programming techniques into your Python coding projects for multiple use cases. Through assignments reflecting real-world scenarios, you will learn to code robust programs using complex, interrelated functions, create data structures to enhance program functionality, and incorporate SQL strings to access data stores. Special emphasis is placed on debugging, error detection, and quality assurance testing, ensuring quality code from the get-go. By the end of the program, you will develop a complex computer application with multiple, interacting features, which may be showcased in your professional portfolio.

This is a stackable Microcredential; to earn this credential, the Advanced Python Programming Pathway must be successfully completed, which includes the following courses:

CIT 163 – Introduction to Computer Programming (3)
CIT 263 – Advanced Topics in Programming (3)

Please note, CIT 263 is online synchronous; there are no requirements to come to campus, but you will attend scheduled virtual meetings for this course. CIT 163 is online asynchronous, and may be completed fully online with no scheduled meeting times.
