Psychological Science prepares students for specialized careers in the areas of child development, human resources, market research analysis, project evaluation, and department management, as well as counseling, mental health, and substance abuse services.

Students can take courses online, in-person at Hamilton and Middletown, or a mix of both.

Curriculum and Courses

Courses are offered in developmental, behavioral, social/cultural, abnormal, and cognitive psychology, as well as research methods and statistics. Students have the opportunity to conduct independent and small-group research with faculty, and experiential and service-learning opportunity are available.

Combined B.A. in Psychological Science and Master’s in Social Work

Students interested in careers in counseling and social work might consider our Combined BA in Psychological Science and Master’s in Social Work 4+1 Program.  This program provides students with experience and entrance into a career in mental health: 60% of mental health services in the U.S. are provided by clinically trained social workers.
