Preparing Students to Lead and Manage People Across Industries

Effective management and leadership are essential skills that transcend industries, benefiting students of any major. These skills enable individuals to attract, develop, and retain top talent, while also driving successful teams toward organizational goals. Regardless of your chosen field, mastering these skills gives you a crucial competitive edge necessary for success.

A minor in Human Capital Management and Leadership complements any major, offering students the chance to enrich their primary areas of study with evidence-based practices in ethical human capital management and leadership.

Eligibility

A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Because of enrollment limits, students planning to take this minor should contact the department below as soon as possible.

Admission to most Farmer School of Business minors is limited and the respective departments are responsible for managing their enrollments. Students may enroll in a maximum of two Farmer School of Business minors. Students may enroll in only one Management Department minor (Human Capital Management & Leadership, Management, or Supply Chain Management). Some minors are available to students on a first-come, first-served basis while others have entry restrictions or requirements. Therefore, to increase the likelihood of gaining entry into a FSB minor, interested students should contact the department offering the minor as early as possible in their academic careers. Completion of an FSB minor may require taking coursework during summer and winter terms and/or online.
