The Neuroscience minor at Miami University provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation in the biological bases of behavior, cognition, and brain function. Drawing on coursework from psychology, biology, and related sciences, the program explores neural processes underlying perception, learning, emotion, and health. This flexible minor complements majors in STEM, health, and social sciences, preparing students for careers or graduate study in neuroscience, medicine, healthcare, and scientific research.
Eligibility
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with an adviser in one of the departments listed below. Students planning to take this minor should consult with an advisor.

Neuroscience is a rapidly advancing, interdisciplinary field with relevance to all aspects of our everyday lives. As a highly interdisciplinary field, neuroscience requires an in-depth study of the nervous system at multiple levels of analysis, including molecular, genetic, cellular, and systems levels.
