Study Spanish for a Better World!
The Spanish Minor at Miami University helps students build strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish while developing cultural literacy and critical thinking. Through an interdisciplinary curriculum, students explore Spanish language, literature, and Hispanic cultures from perspectives such as film, history, gender studies, and creative writing, preparing them for global and professional engagement.
Eligibility
A minimum 2.0 GPA is required for all courses in this minor. Courses must be taken for a grade (not credit/no-credit). Students planning to take this minor should consult with the lead departmental adviser.
Courses and Curriculum
After completion of requred course in culture and linguistics, students choose the remaining hours from 300 and 400 level Spanish courses.
This minor is 18 hours.
