Fuel Your Future. Shape the World.
The Energy co-major at Miami University explores the principles of energy production and distribution, energy supply and demand, pollution control and building systems, and energy policy and regulation. It will provide you with core interdisciplinary training in energy that complements your disciplinary major in engineering, natural sciences, architecture, business, and the social sciences.
This co-major will prepare you for advanced study in an energy-related field or for a professional career in industry, consulting, government, or non-profit organizations.
Energy is one of the most important issues of our global modern society. A sustainable energy future will require engineering, scientific, economic, and policy approaches working together to meet the technological, institutional, and environmental challenges.
Curriculum and Courses
You will take courses that will touch on all areas of science, including physical science, math and statistics, policy, building systems, climate, and practicum and synthesis.
