Options for Your Busy Schedule
Miami’s Master of Social Work degree, a hybrid M.S.W. program, will help you learn to ethically respond to the complex needs of individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities from a family-centered, social justice orientation.
The Master’s in Social Work provides high value to both Ohio and non-Ohio residents. Graduates of our accredited program are eligible for social work licensure in all 50 states. They are prepared to work in a variety of settings in various roles with children, youth, adults, and families.

Curriculum and Courses
The formal curriculum design in the MSW program is comprehensive, with complementary coursework and field work. The courses are sequenced in a certain manner so that students reach an advanced level of micro, mezzo and macro social work practice by the end of the program. The order of this curriculum provides a broad basis of professionalization and professional identity for graduate students while introducing them to skills to use across settings multiple social work settings. As such, students complete core social work courses that prepare them to become advanced generalist professionals who are lifelong learners and leaders who contribute to the social work profession.
