The Communication Studies major provides students with a strong foundation in the study of communication, while also providing students advanced studies in particular communication contexts.

Curriculum and Courses
Program emphasizes human identity and diversity, quantitative research competency, and 21st century communication skills. Students complete an applied communication capstone project in their senior year.

- APC 339 Introduction to Organizational Communication
- APC 363 Advanced Methods in Applied Communication
- APC 428 Communication in Conflict Management
- STC 436 Intercultural Communication (OR any 202-level language)
Career Options
Graduates can pursue a wide variety of careers including training and development manager, meeting and event planning, advertising and promotions manager, or sales manager.
