In this program, you’ll have intensive professional training in creating and interpreting games with expert faculty. Areas of focus include game art, game design, and game development. You will benefit from an interdisciplinary collaboration between the Emerging Technology in Business + Design program and the Art and Computer Science departments.

With a focus on making and praxis, the BS in Games + Simulation prepares students for a career or graduate study in game design, development, 3D modeling, creative development, writing or designing, esports, and games in other industries, all while encouraging students to take creative risks, to build things, and to think critically about audiences, narratives, and aesthetics.

Incoming students should declare Games + Simulation as their desired major when they apply. Admission to the program is competitive and all applicants (including current Miami students) must create a video (no more than 2 minutes long) that illustrates how passionate you are about games. Do not show yourself in the video. A screen share of your projects is what we are looking for.
