Design Skills That Power Your Major
Enhance your major with powerful design skills that bring your ideas to life. In the Communication Design minor, you’ll learn to create compelling visuals and digital experiences that communicate with impact, combining strategic thinking with cutting-edge tools. Whether you’re in business, engineering, arts, or sciences, you’ll develop the visual design expertise to make your work stand out and connect with audiences.
The minor includes instruction in design research methods like interviewing, observations, and surveys, as well as rapid prototyping and testing to discover what and how to create so it meets stakeholders’ needs. Students develop a refined sense of using color and typography to enhance visual communication and usability in the minor by creating designs that span logotypes, publications, presentations, and posters.
A minimum 2.50 GPA is required for admission.
