Complement Your Major With a Health Behavior Minor
The Health Behavior Minor provides foundational courses for learning about social and behavioral health. It can also be used if you wish to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (or CHES).
Health educators provide and manage health education programs that help individuals, families, and their communities maximize and maintain healthy lifestyles. They collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies, and environments. The larger employers of health educators were as follows: Government, Hospitals, Outpatient care centers, and individual and family services.
