Precision Thinking, Endless Discovery.
With a mathematics degree, students will gain the skills needed to excel in various careers that require strong analytical abilities.
Among the Mathematics degrees we offer, a B.S. in Mathematics provides an in-depth study in several key areas of mathematics which prepares students for highly analytical careers in industry, government, or graduate studies.
Students interested in a broad liberal arts education alongside a less intensive mathematics focus can purse the B.A. in Mathematics.
Curriculum and Courses
In both programs, students will develop complex problem-solving skills, the ability to think abstractly, as well as communicate mathematics. The training students receive will prepare them for a wealth of career opportunities.
A B.A. in Mathematics requires all sections of the College of Arts and Science requirements (CAS) and provides a broader range of studies across a variety of disciplines.
A B.S. in Mathematics requires only the language section of the College of Arts and Science requirements (CAS) and provides a broader range of mathematical topics.
